Welcome to Standflow: Your New Standing Desk Companion

Why We Built Standflow
If you've invested in a standing desk, you know the struggle: you start the day standing, feeling productive and healthy, but before you know it, you've been sitting for hours. Or maybe you stand too long and end up with sore legs and feet.
Standflow was born from a simple observation: the key to healthy standing desk use isn't standing all day—it's alternating regularly between positions.
The Science Behind Interval Work
Research shows that prolonged sitting is harmful, but so is prolonged standing. The healthiest approach is to change positions frequently throughout the day:
- Stand for 30-60 minutes
- Sit for 30-60 minutes
- Take short walking breaks
This rotation keeps blood flowing, reduces muscle fatigue, and helps maintain focus throughout the day.
How Standflow Helps
Standflow lives in your menu bar, quietly tracking your current interval and alerting you when it's time to switch positions:
1. Customizable Intervals
Set up your perfect routine with flexible interval durations. Whether you prefer 30-minute cycles or hour-long sessions, Standflow adapts to your workflow.
2. Gentle Reminders
Get notified when it's time to change positions. Choose from system sounds or custom alerts, and adjust the volume to match your environment.
3. Always Visible Timer
A subtle menu bar timer shows your current position and time remaining. Glance up to see where you are in your routine without any interruptions.
4. Private & Local
Standflow runs entirely on your Mac. No accounts, no data collection, no internet required. Your work habits stay private.
